Dr. Richard L. Otts was born and raised in Mobile, AL. He attended UMS High School and then received his Bachelor of Science from The University of Alabama in 1970. He graduated from Tulane University Medical School and remained at Tulane University for residency. Dr. Otts followed his father’s footsteps into Obstetrics and Gynecology. He trained at the storied, illustrious Charity Hospital in New Orleans.
He met his wife, Betsy, in the third grade. They’ve been married for forty-six years and have five children and eight grandchildren. Dr. Otts enjoys hunting, fishing, and wood-working. He belongs to the Rotary Club and has served as a past President of the Mobile Touchdown Club and is a board member of the Mobile Symphony. Most recently, he is a contributing food critic for Mobile Bay Magazine.
